Implementation Plan

In each project, Market Street tells our clients that when the strategy process is complete, the real work begins.  Timely and effective implementation is critical to the ultimate success of Austin’s “Taking It to the Next Level” Strategy

Based on the Strategy, an Implementation Plan will be developed with the following components:

I. Program Assessment and Enhancements

Once the “Taking It to the Next Level” Strategy is final, a thorough review of existing programs of Opportunity Austin and the Greater Austin Chamber will be conducted to determine what changes are necessary to implement the action steps outlined in the “Taking It to the Next Level” Strategy.  Market Street, with the guidance the Greater Austin Chamber and the EDC Board, will play a critical role in reviewing the current assets and gaps in capacity and in helping to identify any changes that need to occur for successful implementation.

II. Funding Allocation

With the strategy finalized, Market Street will work with the Chamber and EDC Board to determine if any funding reallocations or enhancements are needed for implementation.  Anticipated funding needs will be estimated per objective to help with budgeting and prioritization.

III. Timetable

The Chamber, EDC Board and Market Street will jointly develop a one-year and five-year timetable for the Implementation Plan.  These timetables will focus on short, medium, and long-term actions to best implement the Strategy’s goals and objectives.  The timetable must be updated over time to address changing realities, and Market Street will recommend a process for revisiting the Strategy goals on an ongoing basis.

IV. Communication Strategy

Market Street will work with the Chamber and EDC Board to identify the means by which the final strategy will be rolled out to the community, as well as make any necessary adjustments to the Chamber’s marketing efforts to successfully enhance recruitment, retention, and expansion efforts.  To assist the roll-out phase of the Strategy, Market Street will produce a PowerPoint presentation and Executive Summary of the “Taking It to the Next Level” Strategy and the timeframe for implementation for the Chamber to use.
